Lead Lineman

Responsibilities

We have an immediate opening for a Lead Lineman in Harvey, ND.

Successful applicant will supervise, direct and work with the crew to erect and install, maintain or repair overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems and substations; where necessary, frame and erect poles and attach necessary fixtures and equipment; string, sag and splice conductors (wires) and connect transformer and other equipment; trim trees, replace such equipment as broken insulators, split crossarms, cutouts, ties, faulty clamps or braces; and perform similar replacement or repair work as necessary on routine patrol or to clear up storm damage. Use electrical instruments, operate hydraulic equipment, and work out of an aerial basket.

Qualifications

We have an immediate opening for a Lead Lineman in Harvey, ND.

Must be a Journeyman Lineman with a diploma from an accredited line worker program or have equivalent experience. Must have an unrestricted interstate commercial driver’s license; positive leadership qualities and show an ability to plan, supervise and work with people and tools; an interest in teaching people working on the crew the lineman trade; thorough knowledge of electric line and underground construction, maintenance and repair; be able to work outdoors in any weather, able to climb, understand the mechanical equipment used in the trade, and have the ability to get along well with others. Power Plant Mechanical Maintenance

We have an opening for a Journeyman or well-qualified Apprentice Mechanic at the Big Stone Power Plant located near Milbank, SD.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and two years of formal technical training in a related technical field, or at least five years documented mechanical maintenance work experience.

Project and Grant Administration Accountant

Sourcing Specialist

·        Implement appropriate contract language to facilitate the business transaction, protect the company’s interests by mitigating risk, and ensure contract compliance with General Counsel.

·        Review projects for contract risk with the Subject Matter Expert (SME)

·        Assess potential direct and consequential costs and compute liquidated damages amounts for those contracts where needed

Supervisor, Electrical Technician

Pricing Analyst

Construction Site Supervisor

To achieve that, the Construction Site Supervisor will:

·        Directly manage consultants and contractors on OTP transmission projects.

·        Develop programs and procedures including but not limited to access requirements for contractors, contractor access schedules, matting purchase plans, laydown yard plans, plans for road and off-road maintenance.

·        Create and ensure strong safety culture of all those present at construction sites.

·        Coordinate with tribes and local governments regarding cultural resources and permitting.

·        Serve as liaison between landowners and construction contractors, striving to limit the project’s impact on landowners as is reasonable.

·        Manage and mitigate risks to safe site accessibility.

Senior Tax Analyst

Qualifications

·   Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting or associates degree with equivalent work experience. CPA Certification preferred.

Electrician

Responsibilities

Otter Tail Power Company has an opening for a journeyman or well-qualified apprentice maintenance electrician at its Coyote Station, a 420 MW coal-fired electric generating station near Beulah, ND.

Qualifications

Position requires a minimum of two years technical school, with a working knowledge of electrical apparatus and schematics. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be physically fit, mentally alert and possess good communication skills. Must be physically able to perform all maintenance duties requiring standing, sitting, crawling, climbing, lifting and work in temperature extremes from below zero to above 100 degrees. Applicant will be required to complete an aptitude inventory.

 Job duties include installing, testing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing power plant electrical equipment. Plant electrical equipment includes motor controls, motors, generators, breakers, protective relays, voltage regulators, programmable controllers, UPS systems, DC distribution systems, portable and stationary tools and equipment, and AC electrical distribution systems to include switchgear, cabling, transformers, distribution panels, and utilization equipment. Must perform assignments safely, using good judgment, with a sense of responsibility and have the ability to work well with others. Applicant will be required to complete an aptitude inventory.
