With the help of rebates from Otter Tail Power Company, Headwaters Science Center recently completed several energy-efficient upgrades.
Improvements consisted of installing Wi-Fi-enabled smart thermostats and new heating and cooling equipment, including heat pumps and furnaces with energy-efficient motors.
Otter Tail Power Company provided a rebate of $6,900 for these energy-efficient upgrades. “This project is a great example of capitalizing on an energy efficiency opportunity to significantly reduce overall energy expense,” said Otter Tail Power Company Energy Management Representative Roger Garton. “By installing a new energy-saving heating and cooling system, Headwaters Science Center will see a savings of approximately $8,000 a year on energy costs.”
Otter Tail Power Company provides rebates, grants, education, special programs, and financing to encourage individuals and businesses to use electricity wisely.
