Kicking Off Holiday Season By Honoring Veterans
As we close out 2020, let's all do what we can to bring light to life.
Over the next eight weeks we'll help through a series of fun—and impactful—weekly challenges!
This week we expressed appreciation for our veterans
We encouraged customers to:
- Write a note of thanks and share it with a veteran (or safely deliver it to a local veterans' organization).
- Observe the Veterans Day Moment of Silence on November 11 at 1:11 p.m.
Our employees also got involved
In Fergus Falls, Minnesota, we hosted a two-day employee LED holiday lighting event on November 9 and 10. Employees dropped off cards of thanks and donations for veterans in exchange for LED holiday lights. We received around 70 cards and approximately $1,000 in donations, which we delivered, along with cupcakes for residents and employees, to the Fergus Falls Veterans Home. “We can’t express how much we appreciated the cupcakes, cards, and generous donation,” said Deanna Mounts, Public Relations, Fergus Falls Veterans Home. “Your kindness made our veterans smile. Thank you for helping to make them feel honored, special, and valued.”
We also delivered cupcakes to residents and employees at the Veterans Home in Lisbon, North Dakota.
