Partnering In Community Resilience

Otter Tail Power Company Foundation Annual Report now available

In 2020 the Otter Tail Power Company Foundation provided donations that helped local organizations fund medical and safety supplies, build homes for those in need, offer student scholarships, provide meals for those who are hungry, educate young minds, and support local art, recreation, and nature facilities. And it prioritized charitable giving to organizations supporting those affected by COVID-19.

In 2020 our Foundation gave $353,870 to strengthen communities across our three-state, 70,000 square-mile service area. “Caring for our communities is not new. It’s part of who we are,” said Otter Tail Power Company Communications Director and Otter Tail Power Company Foundation President Stephanie Hoff. “We’re in awe of—and privileged to support—remarkable efforts to care for each other. This report highlights some of the ways in which we have an Otter Impact.”

For example:

Harvey Ambulance Service (North Dakota): The Harvey Ambulance Service needed updated medical equipment at the onset of the pandemic. They used Foundation funds to help replace cardiac monitors.

Greater Bemidji Inc., Gifts of Hope fund (Minnesota): The Bemidji Area Gifts of Hope fund aimed to provide COVID-19 relief in area communities. They used Foundation funds to purchase gift cards from locally owned restaurants and donate them to the United Way to distribute to local families economically impacted by COVID-19.
