This tariff is available to residential customers on our Residential Service, RDC, or Farm Service Rates; and to commercial customers on our Small General Service (less than 20 kilowatts) and General Service Rates. Participating eligible commercial customers may receive monthly bill credits for each ton of connected cooling load.
Central cooling equipment will be cycled on a 15-minute on/15-minute off schedule. Commercial customer dual stage air conditioners (or heat pumps) will be allowed to have the first stage run without interruption while the second stage will be shut off for the entire load management period.
Monthly bill credit may be prorated and applies June through September. Air conditioning may be cycled a maximum of 300 hours during the cooling season.

This rider is for both residential and non-residential service to any approved permanently connected deferred loads. These loads primarily are thermal storage, such as underfloor heating or central-storage furnaces, and may include water heaters, electric vehicle charging, and heat pumps when heat storage is also in use. Loads may be controlled up to 14 hours a day, as measured from midnight to midnight. Optional rate 195 allows for qualified summer-season loads, such as heat pumps, to be cycled 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off during control periods.

Rate 185 allows for air-source heat pump loads to be cycled 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off during summer control periods.

You also may include water heaters on this rate when other qualified interruptible load is in use. Heating loads may be controlled up to 24 hours a day and water heating loads may be controlled up to 14 hours a day. This tariff does allow for short-duration cycling of qualified summer-season loads during control periods. To accommodate system controls, Option 2 permits up to 5% of off-peak-load use to remain in service during control periods. The penalty provision of this tariff isn't intended as a buy-through option.
