Chances are, it’s not—and you’re not alone. There are dozens of opportunities within each commercial, industrial, or public-sector facility to save on energy use—and we want to help you find them.

Our Facility Turn-key Efficiency (FTE) program is designed to identify energy-saving opportunities for our customers. What’s more, you may qualify for rebates on the improvements, including a 50% bonus incentive on top of our standard rebates on anything implemented within the first 12 months!

How it works

An energy engineer will visit your facility to review your energy-consuming systems, such as:

• Lighting
• HVAC
• Refrigeration
• Process systems
• Building envelope
• Controls

Then, we’ll develop a report with a project list that helps you plan for the future, including:

• Low/no-cost projects for quick wins.
• Recommended capital improvements to reduce operating costs and improve performance.
• Focus on improvements that qualify for energy-efficiency rebates and special bonus rebates for your participation in the FTE program.

Finally, we’ll help you take the next steps, which could potentially include:

• Project scoping.
• Evaluation of bids.
• Filling out rebate applications.

Eligibility and details

This program is available to all qualifying Large General Service customers in Minnesota. Assessments take 3-4 hours on site (depending on facility size).

• Facility assessment cost is $500 (usually a $2,500 value) which will be applied to your next utility bill.
• Any post-assessment consulting and implementation support is free of charge.
• Participants are eligible for up to 50% bonus incentives on any measure implemented within 12 months of report delivery.
• Total incentives per measure cannot exceed 75% of project cost
