Typical controlled-service rates for break-even calculations

Electric rates vary by season and by the states we serve. Use the rates below to calculate approximate break-even points against other fuel options.

Price per kilowatt-hour

The rates per kilowatt-hour (kWh) shown below reflect calculated bill charges divided by the typical kWh usage for residential and small commercial customers in October 2022. The cost per kWh is an all-in cost and includes energy, customer, and facilities charges, as well as all applicable riders including cost-of-energy. Use these as an approximate price when calculating a break-even comparison for fossil fuels.
