Keep your air fresh, even during the winter months.
We understand how important fresh air is for our health and comfort. But during the winter, that fresh air is also cold air.
Heat-recovery air exchangers—or air-to-air heat exchangers—keep your air fresh year-round while conserving energy, giving you the best of both worlds.
Heat-recovery air exchangers:
Buildings need fresh air. In a home, your air should ideally change over at least once per hour, and it’s even more in an office (2-3 times an hour) or a school (5-6 times an hour).
Unfortunately, newer high-efficiency homes generally have an “air change per hour” (ACH) of less than .35, with some as low as .05, leading to poor air quality and the associated health issues like headaches and allergies.
To prevent this, heat-recovery air exchangers use the heat from existing indoor air to heat incoming outdoor air, leading to a transfer of air that retains up to 85 percent of the heat while removing nearly all stale air.
