These days, thanks to the advancements in light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs, a lighting upgrade can also save you energy.

According to ENERGY STAR®, lighting consumes about 9 percent of the electricity in our homes and 17 percent of all electricity in commercial buildings. Considering that LED lights use 90 percent less energy and last 15 times longer than traditional bulbs, a change to LED represents a large savings.
