Responsibilities

Successful applicant will supervise, direct and work with the crew to erect and install, maintain or repair overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems and substations; where necessary, frame and erect poles and attach necessary fixtures and equipment; string, sag and splice conductors (wires) and connect transformer and other equipment; trim trees, replace such equipment as broken insulators, split crossarms, cutouts, ties, faulty clamps or braces; and perform similar replacement or repair work as necessary on routine patrol or to clear up storm damage. Use electrical instruments, operate hydraulic equipment, and work out of an aerial basket.

Qualifications

Must be a Journeyman Lineman with a diploma from an accredited line worker program or have equivalent experience. Network Engineer

  •            Analyze cybersecurity vulnerabilities and execute patch management and root cause mitigation strategies.

Industrial Services Engineer

Location

Fergus Falls, MN* or within service territory

Responsibilities

In this role, the Industrial Services Engineer will support, manage, and grow our key customers by implementing new technology or management tools.

Examples of those activities will include:

·        Lead the energy transition by developing customer adoption strategies for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and dynamic load management programs.

·        Develop and implement tools for estimating and comparing costs of various customer scenarios, including: rates, billing impact, energy savings, rebates, return on investment, etc.

·        Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers at three levels (Day-To-Day, Managerial, Executive) within a strategic customer's organization.

·        Collaborate with cross functional teams to create and communicate marketing programs, services, technologies, and energy rates.

·        Serve as the primary point of contact for the customers, including during times of power quality and reliability challenges, to meet sales goals.

·        Establish relationships and negotiate with potential strategic customers to establish new electric service agreements. Includes facilitating design, system implications and ‘cost of service’ studies.

·        Travel to assigned customer facilities [1-4] times per month to understand critical operations, Otter Tail’s service delivery, impact of outages, load growth, reliability requirements and identify potential enhanced service solutions.

Portfolio Process Manager

·         Define and enforce standards for preliminary project planning to ensure future project execution is a success.

Transportation Mechanic

Responsibilities

·      Inspect and perform regular and preventative maintenance on wide variety of transportation vehicles including digger derricks, aerial basket trucks, trenchers and related equipment and power plants.

·       May assume full responsibility for emergency repairs in the absence of Foreman or Supervisor and direct work of others in such situations.

·      This role will require travel within Otter Tail Power’s service territory to perform the work for on-site equipment or vehicles.

Responsibilities

OTP is seeking a full-time Journeymen or Apprentice Electrical Line Worker to be temporarily located in Oakes, ND.

Line Workers’ days vary, and some duties will include maintaining or repairing overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems and substations. Qualifications

We’re seeking candidates who have a diploma from an accredited line worker program and a valid, unrestricted interstate commercial driver's license. Candidates must have knowledge of electric line construction, maintenance, and repair, be able to work outdoors in any weather, be able to climb, have complete knowledge of safety rules and can get along well with others. The selected candidates will be expected to learn to use electrical instruments, to operate hydraulic equipment and to work out of an aerial basket. We also have a comprehensive apprenticeship program designed to develop great journeymen line workers. Any candidate selected will be expected to reside within 17 miles from the headquarters in Oakes, ND.

Sourcing Strategist Transmission

Some of the details of the day-to-day include:

·        Recommend and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, streamline workflow and increase accuracy of projects.

·        Create and foster vendor relationships to maintain purchase agreements, materials sourcing, and service arrangements. 

·        Serve as key point of contact for internal coworkers on material needs and project planning. 

·        Research, communicate, and adjust practices for changes in supply chain, product availability, and other changes that could adversely impact the company’s ability to procure materials and services.

·        Manage material supply contract on critical large transmission projects.
