Successful applicant will supervise, direct and work with the crew to erect and install, maintain or repair overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems and substations; where necessary, frame and erect poles and attach necessary fixtures and equipment; string, sag and splice conductors (wires) and connect transformer and other equipment; trim trees, replace such equipment as broken insulators, split crossarms, cutouts, ties, faulty clamps or braces; and perform similar replacement or repair work as necessary on routine patrol or to clear up storm damage. Qualifications

In this role, the Industrial Services Engineer will support, manage, and grow our key customers by implementing new technology or management tools.
Examples of those activities will include:
· Lead the energy transition by developing customer adoption strategies for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and dynamic load management programs.
· Develop and implement tools for estimating and comparing costs of various customer scenarios, including: rates, billing impact, energy savings, rebates, return on investment, etc.
· Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers at three levels (Day-To-Day, Managerial, Executive) within a strategic customer's organization.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams to create and communicate marketing programs, services, technologies, and energy rates.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for the customers, including during times of power quality and reliability challenges, to meet sales goals.
· Establish relationships and negotiate with potential strategic customers to establish new electric service agreements. Includes facilitating design, system implications and ‘cost of service’ studies.
· Travel to assigned customer facilities [1-4] times per month to understand critical operations, Otter Tail’s service delivery, impact of outages, load growth, reliability requirements and identify potential enhanced service solutions.

The selected candidates will be expected to learn to use electrical instruments, to operate hydraulic equipment and to work out of an aerial basket. We also have a comprehensive apprenticeship program designed to develop great journeymen line workers.
